PCT in the Connexions Centre

We are a health service based in Connexions (which is the big building by Sainsbury’s in Oldham town centre) on the ground floor, and we will see all young people who have been referred to us or who want to call in. We are made up of a specialist nurse, a senior health worker and two assistant practitioners who are employed by Oldham Primary Care Trust.

The ways we can help you include treatment for minor injuries and illnesses and help you to develop your own personal health plan. We also offer tests for pregnancy and Chlamydia testing and run the C Card scheme where you can get free condoms, and we can give missed immunisations and check ups. We can give you help and advice on any general health worries you may have such as cuts, scrapes and bruises, asthma, questions about diet, smoking, eye infections and cold sores. We can also help you find a dentist or doctor or give you information on other services.

There is a display board with up to date information on health related topics like diets and healthy eating, body image and hygiene and sexually transmitted infections. You can have a one to one private and confidential consultation with a health professional by just dropping in – no appointment needed. Don’t sit and worry, come and see us for a chat so we can find out how to help you.
